Rosemary’s Christmas anthem Thou whose birth on earth was included in a concert given by the Romulus Singers at All Saints’ Church, Thelwall in December. The words are by Swinburne, and the setting was written for the Manchester-based choir Convivium. It was first performed in an evening of words and music in the mediaeval splendour of Houghton Tower in Lancashire. The setting, for SATB choir and piano or organ, reflects on the Christmas themes of light and peace. Copies are available from the composer.
